Sequencing Services
The Innovation Centre offers Sanger DNA sequencing services as well as a DNA plasmid extraction service. With its seven Applied Biosystems 3730xl DNA Analyzer and a capacity exceeding 2 million high quality reads per year, the Centre can rapidly sequence PCR products, plasmids, BACs and can assist you in the completion of your SNP discovery projects. The Centre also offers a 24-hour sequencing service: BaseXpress.
The Centre has implemented the most recent Next-Generation sequencing technologies (Roche GS-FLX and Illumina HiSeq 2000). In doing so, the Centre has developed an expertise for de novo sequencing of microorganisms, for genomic resequencing using sequence capture approaches and for transcriptomic studies.
